A replica of the VOC ship Amsterdam lies beisde the maritime museum at the Oosterdok in Amsterdam. The picture was taken during the Amsterdam light festival. The VOC (short for Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie) was the very first multinational in the world. The maritime museum was built in a record time during the 17th century
