A quiet summer evening in July.
The photograph was taken from a low vantage point with equal attention to the structures in the sky and on the mudflats in the foreground. The structures in the sky reflect in the low-lying water and rhyme with the stones, vegetation, streams, and sand in the foreground creating a more or less symmetrical calming image. The sunset adds soft pastel tones to the sky and the last light gives the wet sand a silvery sparkle.
On the wall, this photo shows like a window making it feel like a real view. The details and textures will be easy to see on a large format.
The soft tones, apparent symmetry and lack of vertical lines create a peaceful image where one can easily dream away.
