A portrait of a Veiled Chameleon. These reptiles are masters of camouflage and can take on almost any colour. The Veiled Chameleon eats insects and other small invertebrates, but it also eats larger prey such as birds, small mammals and lizards, which are caught with its sticky tongue. It also eats plant parts such as berries and leaves, but plants make up only a small part of its menu.
