In the front you can see the railway tracks, in the background there two churches, the St. Bavochuch and the Bakenesserkerk, both medieval buildings. Inbetween that lays the Hoofdwerkplaats (main railway workshop of the Dutch Railways), situated on the same spot (then station) where the first Dutch train arrived from Amsterdam in 1839.
