When you climb the ridge of Besseggen in Norway you have a view of 2 lakes. On the left you see the turquoise lake Gjende. This lake has such a turquoise color because of glacial milk (meltwater from glaciers and eroded rocks). The lake on the right (Bessvatnet) consists of only rainwater and therefore has a darker shade of blue.
