Jaén is the capital of the province of the same name in Andalusia, Spain. The city has over 100 000 inhabitants. It is in the middle of the area where most of Spain's olive oil is produced and is therefore also known as the capital of olive oil. South of the centre is a narrow mountain ridge. On top of it is a parador and a large cross. From this spot you have a great view of the city and the imposing cathedral.
