Sirmione is an Italian village ago on Lake Garda in Italy whose historic center extends at the narrowest point of the peninsula. Sirmione Peninsula is an Italian village in the province of Brescia in Lombardy.
One of its most famous attractions - besides the Rocca Scaligera castle - is undoubtedly the Roman villa called "Grotte di Catullus. This archaeological ruin, the last remains of which are currently visible, is located on the northern tip of Sirmione and is the most impressive example of a Roman villa present in northern Italy.
This aerial photo was photographed thanks to a drone that makes the remains of the Roman villa Grotte di Catullus very visible. In addition, the so-called limestone terraces (limestone terrace) have become completely visible.
I started drone photography since 2022 and it has since become a real passion to capture nature and urban landscapes as uniquely as possible. I do this both in the Netherlands and during my travels abroad.
