About ‘View over the Saarschleife’ by Erik Lei

This bend in the river Saar is also known as 'Saar Loop'. Many ships sail along it to various destinations. To get this bend nicely photographed, we had to walk the tree crown path. At the end of this path, an observation tower has been built on top of the already metre-high walkway. The drone is not allowed to take to the air here, so to take this image I had to brave the fear of heights and climb the tower. At that precise moment, a ship sailed through the bend, this completed the picture.
