A homage to John Russel. Vincent van Gogh is a portrait painting in oil on canvas from 1886 by the Australian artist John Russell. It shows the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, who befriended Russell for life after meeting him at Fernand Cormon's studio in Paris, where they were both present.
