A recurring subject in my works are dogs and especially of the breed; the Pyrenean Mountain Dog. We used to have one of those big white ones at home. His pedigree name was Ourédon but soon his pet name became Bommel, yes indeed from Olie B Bommel. He was a bit like that too.
Such a large and imposing beast naturally made quite an impression. I always felt very safe walking with him. We were also often called after; "Hey, where are you going with that polar bear?" Or people used to say what breed it was, or that it was a cross with a St Bernard because yes everyone knows that breed.
This work is particularly inspired by the bond I had with him and the greatness of the Pyrenean Mountain Dog; literally and figuratively. But the tender side is not forgotten either. This breed is truly rough-and-tumble.
If you love dogs or animals, a work like this will not be out of place in your interior. It will certainly be a true eye-catcher in your living space.
This work was created using various digital techniques such as Midjourney and Photoshop.
