About "Volkwagen Beetle, Antwerp, May 2023"

About the artwork

A cyclist and a very well-maintained classic Volkswagen Beetle / Beetle in green. The bright green colour of the car matches the colour of the shopfront behind it beautifully.

Because the shop building behind it is also old and contains the text 'Classical String Instruments' in classic letters, the photo looks like it was taken years ago when in reality it was taken in 2023.

With the bicycle in front of the car and in the foreground, I tried to depict speed while the car is stationary. The tram rails create a nice depth.

The photo was taken in Antwerp, Belgium. I can't walk past a car like this myself without taking a picture, whether with my mobile or a good camera as in this case. Especially from the side, (these kinds of) cars always come out beautifully, the model itself taking care of the rest.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
