About the artwork

WALKING ON THE EDGE is a mixed art portrait of a little boy and a peeling blue wall. The black and white of the portrait contrasts sharply with the cool blue tones of the paint. You can almost feel the paint chips through this work. It looks like the little boy is really walking on the edge of the wall.

This work is a mixture of various photographs and editing techniques. The specific wall texture comes from an old factory in Belgium and the child is from South Africa.

A unique work available only here. At STUDIO VAN DE VEN & CO, we have a penchant for weathered walls and textures, as well as sweeping child portraits. In this series, we have combined both, connecting the innocence of young children with lived-in, old textures. A real talker in your interior. What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
