About "WHEN TIME STOOD STILL"

About the artwork

This landscape artwork shows a woman standing in the foreground, looking out over a deserted dune landscape. It features a classic retro caravan, with rounded shapes and pastel colours strongly reminiscent of the aesthetic of old Polaroid photographs. The sky and sand are gently faded and show slight discolouration, as if the image itself has been weathered by time and memory.

The dunes and dry beach grass suggest a beach environment, although the sea remains out of the picture. This absence actually enhances the sense of melancholy . You imagine yourself in a memory of a holiday long ago where not everything is sharp or complete.
The colours consist of warm, saturated hues with hints of yellow, pink and orange, referring to the old-fashioned colour gradient of analogue photographs. The visible textures, such as scratches and stains, contribute to the feeling that this image not only shows a landscape, but also reflects an inner state: holding on to a memory.

This work can make you daydream and muse about the past, travels, abandonment and memories slowly fading away - just like tracks in the sand.

The artwork is constructed in a layered collage style, where the image is a mix of ( own ) photography, mixed media paintings and digital editing.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
