All my artworks are inspired by weathered walls with posters, peeling paint and all sorts of things in decline.
I try to create something new, something beautiful with these elements.
I assemble original photography, assorted papers, acrylic, oil, charcoal, ink and pencil in my works. I have always enjoyed the look of weathered walls covered with peeling paint and old posters, and I relive this aesthetic with hopefully a sharp and professional eye.
I like to use magazine paper and the paper from old books for my collage work. I also work with many different materials such as acrylic paint, watercolor, oil pastels and pencil My brushes are usually old and very worn because I work very roughly with them. In addition, my Stanley knife is a popular tool.I also collect all kinds of materials that I can use as stamps on top of the work.
I remembered that as a young girl I so much liked to cut images from magazines to paste them into school agendas, scrapbooks and even on my bedroom door. Add to this the fascination I always had for walls filled with old posters, flaking paint, scrappy billboards.. Read more…
