Coastline in Groningen near the Eemshaven dike a beautiful one. Old pile heads used to be used as breakwaters and to prevent beach erosion. And now the old groynes are especially important as a maritime ecosystem: habitat for mussels, crabs, fish, starfish and other small sea creatures. Seaweed and kelp also grow here. Fish like to come here to forage. The current between and around the poles creates a good dynamic. On the dike is the great artwork the North Cape also called the Heaven's Gate by artist René de Boer. (You can also find this photo between my collection) This photo is pure and almost unprocessed.
