"Warm colours of a piece of star anise (extreme close-up)" is a macro photo of part of a star anise. When making this photo, I chose a shallow depth of field, which means that part of it is in focus (the heart of the star anise and part of the upper edges of the star anise) and the rest becomes increasingly blurred, the further it is from the focus point. This creates depth in the work. The warm colours of the star anise also immediately give the work a warm (autumnal) cosy atmosphere. The woody structure of the outside of the star anise gives it a natural feel at the same time.
This work could hang beautifully in the dining room, kitchen or restaurant, but of course also just above the sofa
