About "Wat PhonKoung: spiritual beauty and serenity"

About the artwork

Wat PhonKoung, located in Pakse in the south of Laos, reveals an atmosphere of contemplation and serenity. In April 2025, under a peaceful, luminous sky, a row of white and gold stupas stands between palm trees, in the middle of a carefully tended sacred space. These stupas, typical funerary monuments of Theravāda Buddhism, symbolise the link between the living and their ancestors, between the ephemeral and the eternal. Garlands of brightly coloured pennants float above the site, adding a festive and spiritual touch to this place dedicated to remembrance. Each finely-decorated stupa is the bearer of an individual story, a personal tribute, in a collective setting imbued with respect and silence. The harmony between the surrounding nature, the sacred structures and the ritual decorations creates a unique atmosphere, typical of Laotian temples. This place invites contemplation, respect for Buddhist traditions and deep spiritual reconnection. To visit Wat PhonKoung is to immerse yourself in an essential part of Laotian culture, at the crossroads of art, faith and memory.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
