About ‘Watching together’ by Rene van Dam

This black-and-white photograph captures a striking contrast between people and the city. In the foreground, we see three figures viewed from behind, standing close together as they look out over the water towards an iconic cityscape. Their matching hats create a sense of visual unity and reinforce the feeling of connection. They appear not only to be standing together, but also to be experiencing the same moment together.

The background is dominated by the imposing architecture of Big Ben, which stretches along the river. The bridge and the towers form a recognisable skyline and lend the image structure and depth. The water acts as a tranquil buffer, creating a clear separation between the people and the city.

The black-and-white treatment emphasises contrast, shapes and textures. The soft sky and diffuse light create a calm atmosphere, whilst the silhouettes in the foreground add strength and presence.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
