This work was created out of a desire to visualise the aesthetics of the unspectacular. The photograph shows drops of water on a structured plastic surface, which has been staged using targeted lighting. The drops look like small lenses that refract and reflect the light - a physical phenomenon that becomes the creative basis here.
I am interested in the interface between technology and nature. Plastic as an industrial material meets water as a volatile element. The colour scheme - cool shades of blue, turquoise and violet - underlines this tension and gives the picture a matter-of-fact, almost scientific feel. At the same time, the calm composition creates a meditative effect.
I see this picture as an invitation to close observation. It is not about grand gestures, but about the quiet potential in the detail. In interior design, this work can structure rooms without dominating them. It is particularly suitable for modern, minimalist environments where clarity and visual calm are required.
