About the artwork
'Water droplets on morning star (Tragopogon)' is a macro photo of water droplets on seed pods. This (edited) photo has brown (like beige, taupe) tones and a slightly more orange-brown background.
When taking this photo, I chose to focus so that the front fluff seems to come out and the heart of the morning star, is still vaguely visible in the background. This creates a sense of depth in the work, in addition to a dreamy atmosphere.
The droplets also help create this dreamy atmosphere, they reflect the light and this creates sparkles among the fluff. The focus point, as you can see when you zoom in, is at about the heart of the seed fluff.
The texture of these seed fluff is very fine and forms a beautiful structure, reminding me of a spider's web, where the water droplets stick to it.
