The painting shows a fascinating tripartite division of nature that captivates the viewer. The upper half of the painting presents a vivid orange sky from which radiant rays of light move from right to left. This sky creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, as if the sun is just rising or setting. The bands of clouds on the horizon add a dynamic texture to the sky and emphasise the splendour of the light.

In the centre of the painting stretches a deep blue that represents the sea. The water is so clear and calm that you can see the depth in it. This feature adds an extra dimension to the painting and creates a sense of calm and serenity. A flock of birds even flies in front of the mass of water, which is inexplicably held as if by a sheet of glass, and their texture and presence gives the scene a strong surrealistic note.

The lower half of the painting consists of a lush green landscape of trees, meadows and a forest. The deciduous trees add a touch of freshness and life to the scene.
