The Lichtenhain waterfall is located in the Kirnitzschtal south of the village Lichtenhain in the Saxon Switzerland. In order to make it more attractive to tourists, a weir was installed in 1830, which is now opened every half hour so that the pent-up water flows down for a few seconds.
