On a foggy cold day in December, I took a walk around the Strijbeekse heathland, near Breda, the Netherlands. It is beautiful there at any time of year, and it did not disappoint this time either.
The mist makes the landscape smaller and subdued. The scene becomes calmer and you feel alone in the world.
You see a fen in the forest, with the water blending into the horizon and sky because it is so foggy. Further out in the water are 2 more poles, just barely visible. The clumps of grass with their orange colour contrast nicely with the monochrome of the misty landscape.
I love fresh outdoor air, remote areas, mountains and the tranquility of nature and all these things I try to capture with my camera. When I am in nature, I feel alive and rich. I am always curious about new beautiful places and love discovering patterns, .. Read more…
