Werephai is an archaeological site in the south of Suriname near the village of Kwamalasamutu and consists of several caves in which petroglyphs (petroglyphs) of pre-colombian origin can be found. With 313 identified petroglyphs, Werephai is by far the largest pre-Columbian find in Surinam and probably of the Guyanas. The petroglyphs date from 5000-4000 BC.
