The red capped Westhoofd lighthouse in Ouddorp is a National Monument and at night casts the strongest beams of light in the Netherlands over the sea with a luminosity of 5,200,000 candelas. The structure has a height of 56 metres and is one of two lighthouses in the Netherlands that is still manned. Although the tower is not open to the public, you can enjoy the lighthouse's fantastic light show from a distance.
