About ‘Westerheversand Lighthouse overlooking the mudflats’ by Catrin Grabowski

At low tide, the glistening mudflats stretch out in front of the Westerheversand lighthouse, whose distinctive red-and-white rings shine particularly brightly in the warm evening light. Numerous small pools of water and green salt marsh plants dot the exposed seabed, creating a lively, textured scene in the foreground. The golden marsh grass frames the tower harmoniously, whilst the flat expanse of Eiderstedt stretches out on the horizon. Taken near Westerhever, North Frisia, Schleswig-Holstein, this image shows the famous lighthouse from a calmer, more down-to-earth perspective than in the classic sunset shot.

A warm wall hanging for anyone who loves maritime landmarks and the tidal landscape of the Wadden Sea.
