This painting is a visual symphony inspired by Escher's "Water and Fire" (1938), focusing on the elusive harmony between opposites. In the background, Escher's flowing forms unfold in their characteristic interplay between elements. The foreground is dominated by a mysterious lady, seen from behind, wearing an elegant hat. Her silhouette, rendered in deep red, exudes power and sophistication, while she seems to dream away in the enigmatic depths of Escher's world.

The woman's fiery hues contrast sharply with the cooler, stylised background, creating a subtle balance between reality and mysticism. The woman and the painting itself symbolise impermanence; nothing is eternal. In this work, this idea literally fades away, as everything seems to flow off the canvas-a visual metaphor for the temporary nature of beauty and art. This blurring emphasises that even the most perfect moment, like everything else in life, eventually passes.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
