A Place of Tranquillity

by INGO

"Fiery Resting Place" is an atmospheric digital painting, created by the artist using a photograph she took herself as the basis.
The work captures an intimate and harmonious moment in nature, in which a deep-red Postman’s Butterfly rests tenderly on the golden-yellow centre of a sunflower. The contrast between the fiery red of the butterfly’s wings and the warm, sunny hues of the petals creates a powerful, dynamic energy that simultaneously radiates a serene tranquillity. The delicate texture of the flower’s centre and the subtle dewdrops on the leaves enhance the sense of a fresh, awakening summer morning. The work strikes a perfect balance between vibrant passion and tranquil natural beauty.

The work falls within the style of Magical Realism combined with modern digital fine art photography. The foundation is unmistakably photorealistic, with a keen eye for macro details. However, through digital editing, the dreamlike background (bokeh effect) and the hyper-accentuated colours and dewdrops, the work transcends reality. It takes on a poetic, almost fairy-tale-like atmosphere that transports the viewer to an idealised version of nature.

Tip from the artist: this piece looks its best on:
* Acrylic glass (Plexiglas)
* Aluminium Dibond (with gloss or photo print)
* ArtFrame

This colourful and warm artwork fits perfectly into various interiors:
* Modern and Industrial.
* Botanical and Urban Jungle
* Bohemian (Boho-Chic)

Hang the artwork on a wall with a calm, warm base colour. Think olive green, warm beige/sand or a soft terracotta. This enhances the natural, botanical feel of the sunflower without the wall drawing attention away from it.
