Due to various renovations and repairs, the church of Saaxumhuizen has lost its medieval character. Nowadays the church has mainly 19th century features. The current tower has replaced a free-standing, low blunt tower.
The church tower can be visited by everyone. After a tough climb a beautiful view over the Hogeland is the reward.
