About ‘Wijk bij Duurstede mill and harbour’ by Mart Houtman

View of the harbour and mill of Wijk bij Duurstede. The corn mill "Rijn en Lek" was built in 1659 as a run mill and is still used for grinding grain. It is a very early example of the round stone upper mill and therefore very unique, being the only mill in the Netherlands built on a city gate. Wijk bij Duurstede is a fortified town and municipality in the south of the Dutch province of Utrecht. The municipality has about 24,000 inhabitants in an area of about 50 km², of which 2.68 km² is water. Through and along Wijk bij Duurstede flow the waterways Nederrijn, Lek, Kromme Rijn and the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal. Many tourists flock to this medieval town every year to look around and enjoy good food in its many resaurants.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
