About ‘Winding old trees in the fog’ by Bianca de Haan
These winding beeches are 150 years old. They were planned at the time in Oostvoorne to stop the drifting dune sand. The salty sea breeze moulded them into fantastic silhouettes. With this fog I find them even fairer than usual. What a nice place to come.

I usually get lost while photographing. Not that I walk a wrong route, but while taking the picture I tumble away in my own thoughts, or actually not at all. Being one with nature, with my camera and trying to make the image I have in mind. Often not an everyday image where everything is sharp, but more a kind of dream. A dream in which I escape from reality for a moment. And yet it is real, but more lovely, dreamier and softer. The ideal world, right?
