About the artwork

This photo captures the iconic landscape of Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, after a thunderstorm. Three old windmills rise above the calm water, its reflective surface perfectly capturing their silhouettes. The sky is still shrouded in dark clouds, capturing the dramatic moment after the rain, while the last rays of the sun gently illuminate the mills. At first glance, the windmills dominate the scene, but a closer look reveals the small details of nature: the dense reeds gently sloping over the water and the warm glow on the leaves on the shore.

This picture was taken out of my enthusiasm for this unique light situation after the thunderstorm. The calm that comes after such a weather event only lasted for a few minutes. The contrasts between the dark clouds and the clear water in particular lend this moment a very special atmosphere - almost as if nature were taking a deep breath.

This work could give the viewer a feeling of stillness and strength. It invites you to pause and savour the beauty of nature after a storm. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
