An icy breath of silence settled over the dreamy Oytal valley in the heart of the Bavarian Oberallgäu. On a gloriously sunny day in January, the picturesque landscape was transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland. The crunch of freshly fallen snow underfoot lent an unrivalled magic to every moment.
The photo captures the majestic scenery: The Oy Valley, cloaked in rolling hills, opens up before a breathtaking panorama. The peaks of the Schochen (2100m), the imposing Schneck (2268m), the sublime Himmelhorn (2113m) and the mighty Großer Wilder (2379m) rise above the snow-covered meadows. The sun kisses the peaks, which stand out in shimmering white against the bright blue sky.
The cold of January is cancelled out by the warm glow of the sun's rays. The sight brings nature back to life, while the snow-covered mountains emphasise the untouched tranquillity of the wintry scenery. Every step leaves a trace in the deep snow and the clear air fills the senses with freshness.
