A portrait of a Scottish Highlander in the snow. This morning it was snowing and so I decided to go to the moor to look for the Scottish Highlanders. I first found them in the woods, where they sought shelter and some food, but as I was on my way to the watering hole to look for the other animals, the whole herd (including calves) crossed the heathland landscape. A beautiful sight to see them trotting through the snow. Lucky me! At a suitable distance, I enjoyed the scene. This young Scottish Highlander walked at the back of the group and looked back curiously, a beautiful winter scene and the brown fur of these animals colours very nicely with the white snow.
