What do you see at work?
A winter landscape with reed plumes moving gently in the wind. The front plumes are sharp and full of detail, while the background fades into a dreamy haze. The snowy ground and thin air give a fresh, quiet atmosphere.
What was your inspiration?
During a walk in the cold, this field full of reeds caught my eye. Despite the winter silence, it stood there vigorously, dancing on the wind. I wanted to capture that combination of fragility and steadfastness.
What atmosphere are you trying to capture?
A sense of calm and harmony. The cool tones of the snow and sky contrast nicely with the warm beige colours of the reeds, creating a balanced and serene image.
What emotion or message do you want to convey?
The power of simplicity and stillness. This image shows that there is beauty in the smallest, most subtle moments in nature.
Did you use a particular technique?
A small depth of field keeps the front reed plumes razor-sharp, while the background blurs. The natural light softens the colours and enhances the dreamy look.
What makes this work special in an interior?
It brings a touch of winter nature into the home and fits perfectly into a Scandinavian or minimalist interior. Subtle, soothing and timeless.
