This old granite seat has had a few people sitting on it in its time. It is situated outside the main entrance of the USL health office in Panicale in Umbria, Italy. The wall behind it shows signs of decay with plaster falling off and red brick exposed. A leaking drain pipe comes down almost in the middle of the seat and the ground underneath is covered in moss and plants that have enjoyed growing in the damp. The area around the seat is cracked and discoloured with age. Soon the warmer weather will make this a great place to sit in the shade, with your back to the wall, and watch the world go by. Now, it speaks of time and past generations.
