With a nice bow wave ahead past Hoek van Holland
Container ships pass by Hoek van Holland with a nice overcast sky. The open North Sea is calm at that time. But what awaits the ship on the open sea.
The pilot on board steers the ship safely across the Nieuwe Waterweg to the North Sea past Hoek van Holland. The sailor busy on the foredeck getting everything sea ready. Stowing the ropes and making the hatches watertight. And stowing the last things for the voyage.
The nice bubbling bow wave indicates the ship has a nice gait. Most ships are in a hurry and time is money. I especially like the sight.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is another world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships the people the landscape it continues to fascinate me.
