This world map with quote is painted and designed by Ricardo Bouman, a graphic designer, painter and owner of a design agency in Zoetermeer.
The original painting was made with watercolor and ecoline on 300 grams watercolor paper at a size of 160x90cm. Because this work was painted on such a large scale, it contains beautiful details with contrasting colour gradients that flow into one another.

This special world map has subtle and bright colours that have a clear connection with the nature and climate of the country and continent in question. South America consists of (dark) green and yellow tones, South Africa of (dark) green and yellow tones and North Africa of yellow and orange tones for the desert areas. Canada and Greenland have fresh blue tones and Australia green, orange and red earthy colors. North America, Asia, Europe, Scandinavia and Oceania (with New Zealand and Fiji) have a mix of warm and cold colours.

This world map has a double function, because the artwork not only embellishes the interior, but also supports a good cause. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the CARE Emergency Fund.
