About WorldMapShop

WereldkaartenShop is a ‘creative studio’ where artistic cartographic illustrations are produced. The person behind this online shop is Ricardo Bouman, a graphic designer with a passion for travel, cartography and painting.

In his studio, he creates unique world and country maps. He does this both traditionally ‘with paint and ink on paper or canvas’ and using modern methods on a computer or graphics tablet, where he produces digital cartographic designs. These include geometric, typographic and photographic designs.

He translates his cartographic concepts into unique, handmade works of art. His creations do not incorporate any form of AI (artificial intelligence).
Ricardo’s works are created with a passion for graphic design, painting and image editing.

Ricardo has scanned and digitised all his original maps in high resolution so that they can be hung on your wall in your chosen material and format as an atmospheric eye-catcher.
