In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang (also yin–yang or yin yang, yinyáng "dark–bright") describe how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world. This yin and yang symbol comes in dark gray to almost black grunge, with the yang part reminiscent of moonlight breaking through clouds. The symbol has a slender bronze rim and small bronze stars are scattered on the outside of the symbol.
