About ‘Zero number-- burned with fire’ by André Bikker - graVuur & schilderijen
If children are not seen anywhere in the world, they don't seem to exist. This fictitious portrait was burned onto waste wood using this new technique André Bikker developed under the name graFire. It's wonderful to have this image printed on wood again.

André Bikker (1967) Is an all-round artist, art teacher and creative trainer within his own painting school. After a two-year search and endless testing of all kinds of techniques for painting with fire, André Bikker discovered a new technique in the summer of 2016: painting with fire. Making a engraving is difficult to compare with existing painting methods. It appears to be painted in a sepia tone, but no paint is involved. The heat from the gas burner discolors the wood.
