At Col de Meyrand are lookout points, almost at the summit you have access to this heavenly view. You can see so far there in clear weather that you lose the sense of distance, and so much is happening below you. All little villages farming, gathering domestic chestnuts at the time of the photo. Cows being milked and cheese being made here and there. Could you look inside the houses you might see the lady of the house preparing a nice stew and pick out a bottle of wine to go with it. It just might. Personally, this picture is a moment of freedom and peace on a beautiful Sunday. Imagine this, you have this hanging on your wall. What a view this would be if this was your kitchen window. On mornings over a cup of coffee and breakfast being allowed to see this. Then every day you can see this is one with too few hours.
