Goeree-Overflakkee beach is a hidden gem on the South Holland coast. Vast stretches of sand stretch along the North Sea, where dunes protect the landscape from the wind and waves. The beach offers space and tranquillity, ideal for long walks as you look out over the horizon and the salty seawater touches your feet.
In summer, the beaches attract many sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts, but in autumn and winter it is also a favourite spot for nature lovers. The fresh sea breeze, the sound of the seagulls and the impressive cloud formations make every visit special. Besides relaxation, the beach is also an important nature reserve, where flora and fauna are rampant, and seals can sometimes be spotted.
