The crested seriema (Cariama cristata) is a bird from the family of seriema (Cariamidae). It is also the only species of the genus Cariama. The crest seriesma is on average 75 to 90 centimeters long, 1.5 kg heavy and has relatively long legs in relation to the body, and a long neck and tail. The feathers are usually brown (with a paler tinge at the neck) with black markings. The plumage of both sexes is equal. The beak and legs are red. On the head they have a crest.
