The meadow pipit and the tree pipit are difficult to distinguish in terms of appearance. The call and habitat are different, but they can occur in the same biotope.
The meadow pipit runs with shocking movements, which is less noticeable in the tree pipit. The tree pipit runs smoother and 'steeper' (more bent).
