Mushroom, pure nature. Lovely season autumn..... So much to see in the forest. And this red with white dots is my favorite. Without missing out on all those other mushrooms. Did you erase this from the fly agaric yet?
Because that's what it's actually called: The favourite mushroom of many Dutch people is the fly agaric. The cap can grow up to 20 centimeters wide and is usually bright red, later fading to orange/yellow.
On the cap are the characteristic "white dots", which are pyramid-shaped, poisonous flakes.
These flakes wash off easily during a rainstorm, which is why you sometimes see fly agaric without white dots.
In the past, these flakes had a function in agriculture. Cattle farmers mixed the poisonous flakes with milk or water and placed the mixture in the barn to get rid of the flies. This is how the fly agaric got its name.
Like all other fungi, the fly agaric loves moisture. In dry autumn periods you will therefore not encounter many fly agaric.
" It makes me happy to create memories "
I love to photograph in the French or Dutch countryside. Forests, countryside or by the sea. But also cities, towns and villages (especially in France) are my favorites.
Best regards ! Yvonne..
