pompei-a-hs4097451:Pompeii was the name of a Roman provincial town with about 20,000 inhabitants that existed from the 7th century BC until the first century AD. Osken, Samnites, Greeks, Etruscans and Romans all left their mark. Pompeii, which had already been hit by an earthquake in 62 A.D., was covered in ash in 79 as a result of the eruption of Vesuvius. This has made it one of the best-preserved Roman cities, although the excavations have been accompanied by erosion and pollution.

After the first remains were discovered at the end of the sixteenth century, archaeological excavations have been carried out since the 18th century. Since then, large parts of the city have been uncovered and the place gives a well-preserved picture of Roman daily life. Pompeii is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a major tourist attraction, attracting some 2.5 million visitors a year.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
