Even before the sun weaves its first rays through the trees, the landscape is hidden under a thin veil of fog. The morning mist hangs low, caressing the field and making the world small, as if everything that does not belong to this moment has momentarily disappeared. Out of that stillness, a roe deer emerges. Her movement is careful but unhurried, like a natural appearance of nature itself.
She looks around, smells, listens. Every detail of her presence exudes alertness and grace. Then she bends towards the greenery and with gentle precision selects a single leaf for her breakfast. It seems an insignificant gesture, but there is a quiet poetry in that very simplicity.
The mist holds the image, slows down time and puts a protective blanket over animal and surroundings. Nothing disturbs the harmony. Here, in this hushed encounter, I am reminded of the value of the small and fleeting.
The roe deer does not have to do anything to impress; her presence alone is enough. She ís simply there, between dew and silence, and teaches us to look at the beauty that often remains hidden - a beauty that only reveals itself to those who dare to stand still themselves.
