willem II cigar factory (actually: Goulmy & Baar) in the dutch city of 's-hertogenbosch dates from the late nineteenth century. in 2013 the renovation began. artists and cultural entrepreneurs now have their studios here. but in 2013 the workplace was still breathing the atmosphere of the time, with beautiful light through the windows, lots of steel, old tile floors and iron support beams.
blown up to a size of 7x3 meters this photo was used as a permanent wall decoration in the entrance of the w2-pop center that is housed in the former factory.
