view of the medieval town of Rocamadour.
Classed as one of France's most beautiful villages, Rocamadour is one of the Lot's must-see sites.
Situated in the north of the department, close to the Dordogne Valley and at the heart of the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park, this village of just 700 inhabitants has a worldwide reputation.
This photo was taken on my way to the lower part of the village along a small winding road through the vegetation.
I wanted to immortalise the town from a side viewpoint, incorporating the flourishing natural surroundings of a very sunny early spring in the foreground.
In this shot I wanted to bring out a soothing atmosphere, with the castle and its ramparts seemingly resting on the vegetation.
I wanted to radiate serenity and pleasure for the viewer.
